Rewards for Healthcare Workers at Indore’s Laxmi Memorial Hospital by Director Dr. Anand Jain - 7 Cars and 1 Flat for Diligent Employees

We have seen the strong-willed faces of health service workers way too often in these trying times. They’ve all done their part and gone ways further to prove their diligence towards their work and service towards others. We are all thankful and appreciative of their work and have shown it to the doctors, nurses, and other healthcare workers in ways we can.

However, Director of Laxmi Memorial Hospital in Indore, Dr. Anand Jain has taken his appreciation for his doctors and staff a step further. Jain has rewarded 7 of his employees with a car and 1 of them with a flat to call their own, all for their hard and selfless work during the course of this pandemic as per wishes of MD Irfan Khan.

As surprising as that is, imagine the surprise for the employees when one day, their director rewards them with cars and a flat. The employees were amazed and never believed a day like this would ever come to.

The director, Dr. Jain, mentions all the ways in which his employees have fared way beyond their responsibilities and taken care of the patients and did their best. He reminds us of the time when the everyone had been sullen by the increasing cases and the despair caused by the virus whereas his whole team of staff and doctors from the receptionist to the oxygen supply manager, all of them put in work without any leaves or breaks for a continuous three-month period.

The employees donned the PPE kits, masks, gloves, all the necessary preventives at best to avoid getting infected and cared for the lives of others. Dr. Jain also notes how when the city had been pouring and the rains were being an inconvenience to many, his OT technician, Rajkumar had been getting soaked in the rains while on his way back home all the way to Mhow where he resides. The employee had been doing so for over the last 30 years without a hint of bitterness.

There were times when the patient’s attendants were not ready to get to close to them fearing the virus, the doctors and staff chose otherwise and risked their lives for the sake of others.

This humane and selfless dedication showed by his employees is what made Dr. Jain decide that he needed to do what he could for his employees for their painstaking service. The hospital has a total of 110 employees of which 7 have been rewarded with cars and another one with a flat on their request. The rest of the staff is just as important and arrangements to have any of their families at free of cost is an advantage given to them as well. The staff also has helped in other ways, one of which being the Kanyadan scheme making donations towards the marriage of a girl child.

• “Having done my work with sincerity and dedication is how one can achieve better results. I have been gifted a Maruti car from Honor” says Hospital Floor Manager, Yogesh Gohia.
• “I worked sincerely all throughout the Corona period without opting for any leaves” says part of Hospital Management, Yogesh Maval who also happens to be a part of and oversees the Ayushman scheme and was gifted a Wagon-R car.
• “There were people who were in need of oxygen, and I did my best by arranging the same even at odd hours of the night, whether it be 2 am or 3 am” says Oxygen Supply Manager, Nitin Dhumal who has been gifted a Tata car of his choice by Honor.
• “I believe in not giving in or up and for my dedication and hard work I have been rewarded” says Reception attendant, Sanjay Pandey who received and Ertiga car.
• “Dr. Jain, one of these days suddenly came up to me and asked me which car I wanted to which I told him that I wasn’t in need of a car but instead a house and he made it happen”, says Floor supervisor, Rahul Parmar who was gifted a flat.
• “The gift to me given by Dr. Jain was a certificate stating that I do my work sincerely. I was going to receive a Swift car, however, I mentioned wanting a Ciaz instead and without a delay Dr. Jain got me the same”, says Mayank Patel who is a part of the hospital staff and provides information and benefits of government schemes to patients.
